MIT USA GDL Internships 2025 Now Open for Applications
The prestigious Global Diversity Lab (GDL) Summer Internship Program at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) is now accepting applications for its 2025 internship cohort. This program, hosted by MIT’s Department of Political Science and the MIT Center for International Studies, provides a unique opportunity for undergraduate students to gain hands-on research experience in the field of social sciences.
Program Overview
Interns will split their time between two key activities:
- Research Assistant Roles: Supporting ongoing GDL research projects focused on diversity, development, and dignity worldwide.
- Independent Research: Working on their own projects, such as senior thesis preparation, under the mentorship of MIT Political Science faculty.
Participants will also engage in weekly workshops led by MIT faculty and graduate students, focusing on research methods, skills training, and career preparation in social sciences. Social activities and networking events will complement the academic experience.
The program aims to increase the participation of underrepresented minorities and underserved students in the research enterprise, providing a robust foundation for future graduate or job applications.
