University of Exeter Great Scholarships 2025 by British Council
The University of Exeter, in collaboration with the British Council and the GREAT Britain Campaign, has launched the GREAT Scholarships 2025 program, offering five (05) scholarships worth £10,000 each to outstanding international students from Bangladesh, Ghana, Nigeria, and Turkey. These scholarships aim to support students pursuing a one-year postgraduate taught (Masters) degree at the university for the September 2025 entry.

Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for the University of Exeter GREAT Scholarships 2025, applicants must:
- Be a citizen and resident of Bangladesh, Ghana, Nigeria, or Turkey (classified as an international student for fee purposes).
- Hold an undergraduate degree that meets the admission requirements for a postgraduate program at the University of Exeter.
- Demonstrate academic excellence and motivation to succeed in a UK postgraduate taught course.
- Exhibit relevant work experience or a strong interest in the chosen field of study.
- Meet the English language and academic requirements for the intended program.
- Be actively engaged with UK higher education through coursework and extracurricular activities.
- Commit to acting as an ambassador for UK higher education and sharing their experiences as a GREAT scholar.
Eligible Programs
The scholarship applies to one-year (12-month), full-time, campus-based postgraduate taught degrees (Masters), excluding the following:
- The Exeter MBA
- MRes Management (Pathway to PhD) & MRes Economics (Pathway to PhD)
- MSc Island Biodiversity and Conservation
- Clinical Psychology programs by CEDAR
- MA International Film Business
- Law programs by the University of Law
- Postgraduate Certificates & Diplomas
- Degree Apprenticeships
- Fully online or distance learning programs.
Application Process
To apply, students must first secure an admission offer for an eligible Masters program at the University of Exeter. Once they have received their offer, they must:
- Complete the online application form https://www.exeter.ac.uk/study/funding/award/?id=5305 for the GREAT Scholarship.
- Submit a personal statement (max. 300 words) answering three key questions related to their motivation and interest in the scholarship.
- Await notification of their application status, which will be provided by June 2025.
Application Deadline
The last date to apply for the University of Exeter GREAT Scholarships 2025 is 30 April 2025. Scholarship recipients will be notified of their selection by the end of June 2025.
