MSc Internal Medicine Scholarship 2025 at University of Edinburg

In a bold move to empower global medical professionals, the University of Edinburgh has announced the Internal Medicine Programme Scholarship 2025, a high-impact funding opportunity for aspiring and current students in the field of internal medicine.

What’s on Offer?

The university is awarding five (05) competitive scholarships, each worth £4,204, covering a massive 66% of the tuition fee for one academic year. These awards are open to both newly admitted and continuing students of the highly respected MSc Internal Medicine (Online Learning) program, as well as students in the PgCert and PgDip tracks.

Note: The funding covers one academic year only. Candidates on multi-year programs are advised to plan future finances accordingly.

Who Is Eligible?

This scholarship targets medical professionals domiciled and working in select low- and middle-income countries—a list of which can be found on the university’s official scholarship site. Exceptions will be made for applicants recently displaced due to war or political instability.

To qualify, candidates must:

  • Be admitted to the Internal Medicine (Online Learning) MSc, PgDip, or PgCert programs (part-time).
  • Have firmly accepted their offer or plan to do so.
  • Show academic merit and submit a compelling personal statement.

Selection Criteria & Expectations

This isn’t just about funding. Edinburgh seeks engaged and transformative leaders in healthcare. Applicants should detail:

  • Their current impact in national or local healthcare systems.
  • How this program will elevate their medical practice and health leadership.

Award recipients are expected to:

  • Strengthen academic ties between their home institutions and Edinburgh.
  • Submit a biography for publication on the scholarship webpage.

Applicants must first apply for admission to the eligible program at the University of Edinburgh. After that, they can access the scholarship application via EUCLID, through the university’s portal MyEd.
