Types of Scholarships for International Students

1# Automatic Entrance Scholarships (No application required!)

These awards are given automatically to new international students based on academic performance:

    • International Special Entrance Scholarship Program
      For students entering directly from high school (outside Canada). If your grades are strong, you’ll be automatically considered during the admission process.
    • AP & IB Entrance Scholarships
      Scored high in your Advanced Placement (AP) or International Baccalaureate (IB) exams? You could qualify for these entrance awards—again, no separate application needed.

3# President’s Scholarship for World Leaders

Eligibility Criteria for President’s Scholarship

  • Be a first-time international student entering UWinnipeg
  • Hold a minimum average of 80% or equivalent
  • Have proven leadership experience and potential
  • Must be registered full-time and have a complete admission file (documents + fees

Wu Chung Scholarship – The Full Ride!

If you’re from Huadu (Guangzhou) or Hong Kong, this is your once-in-a-lifetime chance. The Wu Chung Scholarship covers everything—from your tuition to your meals and even your airfare!

What It Covers?

  • Full tuition and university fees (for up to 4 years)
  • Books, supplies, and course materials
  • On-campus housing and dining
  • Up to $2,500 in airfare reimbursement

Who’s Eligible?

  • Must be a resident of Huadu or Hong Kong
