AIA Scholarships 2025 for Undergraduate Students in Hong Kong

The AIA Foundation, established in 2020, continues its impactful initiative to support academic excellence and community service with the AIA Scholarships 2025. Designed to aid outstanding undergraduates, this scholarship provides financial support to students enrolled in universities across Hong Kong. For the academic year 2025, seven (07) scholarships worth HK$50,000 annually are available, renewable throughout the undergraduate course.

AIA HongKong Scholarship Package

  • Annual Financial Support: Each awardee receives HK$50,000 per year, covering tuition fees and other educational expenses.
  • Renewable Awards: Scholarships are renewable for the full duration of the undergraduate program, subject to maintaining eligibility criteria.
  • Recognition of Excellence: Recipients will gain acknowledgment for their academic achievements and community contributions, enhancing their academic profiles.

Eligibility Criteria

To qualify, applicants must meet the following conditions:

1# Residency:

    • Must be a HKSAR permanent resident or have entered Hong Kong on One-way Permits.
    • Must have resided continuously in Hong Kong for at least three years immediately before commencing their undergraduate studies.

2# Education:

    • Must have completed their senior secondary education in Hong Kong, whether through local or international curricula.
    • Must be pursuing their first undergraduate degree in a UGC-funded program at Hong Kong Baptist University (HKBU).

3# Academic Performance: A minimum GPA of 3.00 in the first semester of the 2024-25 academic year.

4# Community Engagement: Demonstrate a record of community service or charitable work.

5# Scholarship Conditions: Applicants must not be recipients of HKBU entrance or admission scholarships. Successful candidates will be required to relinquish such scholarships upon accepting the AIA Scholarship.


Application Process

  1. Form Submission: https://sa.hkbu.edu.hk/en/sfa/news-announcement/AIA-Scholarships-2024-25–Deadline–17-January-2025-.html
  2. Document Compilation: Combine the completed form and required supporting documents into one PDF file. Name the file as follows: “AIA_[student ID]_[full name]” (e.g., AIA_23201111_Chan Tai Man).
  3. Upload Platform: Log in to the Documents Upload Platform at https://sfa.hkbu.edu.hk/supporting_docs/. Select “AIA Scholarships” in the menu and upload the PDF before 11:59 PM on 17 January 2025.
  4. Proof Submission: Include clear supporting documents such as certificates, letters, and activity records.

Application Deadline

The application period for the AIA Scholarships 2024-25 at Hong Kong Baptist University (HKBU) is from 31 December 2024 to 17 January 2025.
