What will the Charles University foundation year cost?

Your remaining tuition depends on the programme. These September 2027 COMPLEX options run for three trimesters. The figures below calculate half of their currently advertised fees, subject to scholarship approval and the final invoice.

Foundation programme Advertised tuition Your half after the award
Medicine and Pharmacy, Czech €7,400 €3,700
Engineering and IT, Czech €7,300 €3,650
Economics, Business and Management, Czech €7,300 €3,650
Humanities, Czech €7,300 €3,650
Medicine and Pharmacy, English €7,990 €3,995

UJOP’s engineering and English medical programme pages estimate living costs at approximately €7,000–€8,000 annually. Build a separate budget for insurance, travel and administrative expenses.

The Czech engineering COMPLEX programme accepts beginners in Czech and prepares students for entrance examinations and subsequent tuition-free Czech-language studies at public universities. English options prepare students for fee-paying English degrees; some FAST programmes require a higher English starting level. Completing foundation preparation does not itself secure university admission.

What does becoming a UJOP ambassador involve?

You accept academic and promotional responsibilities alongside the tuition reduction. These include regular social media content, cooperation with the marketing team and participation in at least three events. UJOP can use your photographs, videos and posts for promotion, and your materials must respect copyright.

The published responsibilities document still contains a 2026–2028 calendar. Ask for the agreement applicable to your 2027/28 cohort before accepting. Breaching the conditions can lead to withdrawal of the scholarship and tuition charges, so treat the ambassador role as a continuing commitment.

How should you prepare and submit your UJOP application?

Prepare the scholarship material alongside your foundation application.

  1. Choose your course. Start with the UJOP Ambassador Scholarship announcement, then select the programme and its Apply button. Check language, subject and age requirements individually.
  2. Gather admission documents. Follow UJOP’s foundation application instructions. Prepare your passport, education certificate and cover letter covering your study goals, language background and short CV. If still at school, obtain confirmation of your current year and expected graduation. Complete the form in the Latin alphabet.
  3. Add scholarship evidence. Supply three years of academic records showing very good results, an English motivation letter of up to 300 words, B1 proof through IELTS, TOEFL, Cambridge, PTE or Duolingo, and an active Instagram or Facebook profile.
  4. Publish your reel. Submit a maximum 90-second English video, also posted in your own language. Explain why Czechia, UJOP and your chosen field fit your goals. Begin: “I’m applying for the Ambassador Scholarship for a foundation programme at UJOP Charles University in the Czech Republic.” Include @ujop_czechstudies #scholarshipCzechia #scholarshipfoundation #Scholarship #StudyInCzechia #InternationalStudents #StudyInEurope #Foundation.
  5. Submit and arrange payment. Retain the automatic email confirmation. Your UJOP representative handles documents and finances; obtain written confirmation of the discounted invoice before paying. General admission instructions require tuition payment before issuing visa admission documents. University degree applications follow separately.
