The Badminton World Federation (BWF), in partnership with the World Academy of Sport (WAoS), has launched the 2025 Sports Management Scholarship Programme. This initiative provides educational opportunities for dual-career athletes and badminton professionals to pursue a Postgraduate Certificate in International Sports Management, offered online by the University of London.
Since its inception, 30 candidates have enrolled in this programme, including Olympians, Paralympians, former athletes, and Member Association staff. The upcoming September 2025 intake continues to support individuals looking to enhance their sports management expertise while balancing their professional careers.

Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
1# Academic Qualifications:

- An undergraduate degree (e.g., bachelor’s degree), OR
- A minimum of five to eight years of relevant work experience with professional references.
2# English Language Proficiency:

- IELTS score of at least 6.5 overall, with a minimum of 6.0 in the written test, OR
- An equivalent English proficiency certification.
3# Affiliation with Badminton:

- Must be in good standing with their Member Association.
