ESTS Biology Club Fellowship 2025 at University Hospital Zurich

The ESTS Biology Club has officially opened applications for its prestigious Robotic Research Fellowship 2025, offering young thoracic surgeons a unique three-month opportunity to dive into the future of robotic-assisted thoracic surgery at the University Hospital Zurich.

This fellowship is more than just an observational experience. Selected fellows will be actively involved in a hands-on research project centered around robotic surgery and outcome analysis, using robust datasets from the ESTS Robotic Surgery Database. It’s an ideal platform for early-career thoracic surgeons to build expertise in minimally invasive surgical techniques and contribute to improving patient outcomes through data-driven research.

The ultimate goal of this initiative is not just training, but transformation. Upon completion of the fellowship in May 2026, participants are expected to return to their home institutions and champion the development and expansion of robotic surgery programs, fostering innovation in thoracic surgery around the globe.
