German BSBI Scholarship 2027 Really Offering 100% Tuition Sponsorship to Foreign Students?
A scholarship labelled “100%” sounds like a fully funded ticket to Germany. At the Berlin School of Business and Innovation (BSBI), however, applicants need to read that percentage carefully.
BSBI is offering international applicants several scholarship routes that can reduce tuition fees by 20%, 40%, 50% or even 100%, including the Women in Tech Scholarship, Sherryl Kintu Scholarship and Portfolio Scholarship Competition.
For women planning a technology-related Master’s degree in Berlin, the Women in Tech Scholarship is particularly interesting because every intake includes one 100% tuition award alongside several partial scholarships.

Funding Status: Is BSBI Scholarship Fully Funded?
No—not in the usual scholarship meaning of “fully funded.”
A 100% BSBI award means 100% of applicable tuition is covered. It does not mean the university pays rent, food, visa costs, flights or monthly living expenses.
That distinction is especially important for international students budgeting for Germany.
Women in Tech: Seven Awards Are Available Per Intake
The Women in Tech Scholarship is aimed at female applicants who can demonstrate strong potential in technology, data and engineering.
For each eligible intake, BSBI advertises:
- 1 scholarship covering 100% of tuition
- 2 scholarships covering 50%
- 2 scholarships covering 40%
- 2 scholarships covering 20%
The award is therefore competitive, but applicants are not competing for only one possible outcome. Even candidates who miss the full-tuition award can still secure a substantial fee reduction.
Which Master’s Degrees Qualify?
Female applicants applying to selected computer science, technology and related programmes at BSBI Berlin can compete, including:
- MSc Artificial Intelligence
- MSc Data Analytics
- MSc Information Technology Management
- MSc Engineering Management
- MSc Global Logistics and Supply Chain Management
BSBI says its selection board considers the overall quality of the application, passion, drive, ambition, connection to technology, financial need and the progress the scholarship could enable.
That means this is not simply a highest-GPA competition.
An applicant who can explain how the programme connects her previous education, technology interests and future career may have a stronger case than someone submitting a generic request for financial assistance.
Three Deadlines — Choose the One Matching Your Intake
BSBI does not believe in giving scholarship applicants the luxury of remembering just one deadline. The Women in Tech Scholarship follows three separate intake calendars, so the date to circle depends entirely on when you plan to arrive in Berlin.
February 2027 intake: Applicants planning to start at BSBI in February should work backwards from November 25, 2026. That is the scholarship deadline for this batch, so anyone waiting until January to think about funding has, unfortunately, already missed the interesting part of the calendar.
May/July 2027 intake: Students aiming for the middle-of-the-year intake should submit their Women in Tech Scholarship application by March 24, 2027. This gives applicants a little more breathing room after the New Year, but not enough to spend March merely deciding which programme to choose.
October 2027 intake: Applicants targeting the autumn intake have until August 25, 2027. It is the latest of the three deadlines, but programme availability can differ by intake, so “I will just apply in October because the deadline is later” is not quite a strategy.
How to Apply Without Mixing Up Admission and Scholarship?
The Women in Tech funding application is not something applicants should assume happens automatically with admission.
Use this order:
- Select an eligible BSBI technology Master’s programme.
- Start or complete the relevant programme admission process.
- Download and complete the BSBI scholarship application form.
- Use the application to explain your technology interests, career ambition and financial circumstances.
- Submit the scholarship form to BSBI Admissions or your programme consultant.
- Make sure it reaches BSBI before the deadline corresponding to your intended intake.
- Wait for the scholarship outcome after the closing date.
Applicants should make every answer specific. A statement such as “I am passionate about AI” says very little; explaining what you have already studied, built, researched or hope to solve with AI provides the selection panel with evidence.
BSBI Has Two Other Scholarship Routes Worth Knowing
Women in Tech is not BSBI’s only substantial tuition award.
The Sherryl Kintu Scholarship can provide full tuition support to a selected student in eligible creative programmes. BSBI’s 2026 recipient, for example, received full tuition funding after being assessed for creativity, academic motivation and financial need.
Creative applicants at the BSBI Hamburg campus can also compete through the Portfolio Scholarship Competition, where current awards include tuition reductions of up to 100% for exceptional portfolios.
These are separate competitions with different target profiles, so applicants should not treat “BSBI Scholarship” as one universal application.
Who Should Prioritize Women in Tech?
A female international applicant entering AI, analytics, IT, engineering management or supply-chain technology has a particularly clear reason to investigate this award.
The major attraction is the possibility of eliminating tuition completely. The major limitation is equally clear: successful applicants still need a realistic plan for living expenses in Germany.
That makes the correct description of this opportunity not “fully funded BSBI scholarship,” but “up to 100% tuition scholarship.”
