The 2025 University Recommended Japanese Government (MEXT) Scholarship will provide international students the opportunity to pursue advanced degrees at the University of Tokyo’s Graduate School of Science. Eligibility

Applicants must demonstrate proficiency in either English or Japanese. English speakers need a B2 level on the CEFR scale (e.g., TOEFL iBT 72 or IELTS 5.5), and Japanese speakers must have at least an N2 level on the JLPT.
