Lithuania SMK College Scholarships Admissions for Spring 2027 Intake Process
Comparing countries, counting tuition costs and wondering whether your grades could earn you a scholarship? Lithuania’s SMK College of Applied Sciences has opened Spring 2027 admissions, advertising 14 international bachelor’s programmes and three scholarship routes offering 20% or 40% tuition reductions.
There are reasons for students worldwide to look closer. Two scholarship routes have no nationality restriction in the published conditions, applicants with school averages of 80% or 85% could qualify for consideration, and IELTS is only one of several accepted English tests. Subjects span business, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, communication and nursing across three Lithuanian cities.
The deciding question is whether the opportunity fits both your ambitions and your budget. The largest scholarship lasts one year; another covers one semester. Here is how to work out where you stand before paying to apply.

First, Find Your Academic Fit
Your subject determines your campus options. Vilnius offers finance, marketing, tourism, events, project management, real estate, digital communication, programming, cybersecurity and nursing.
Kaunas lists international business, business creation, future business and artificial intelligence, tourism and nursing. Klaipėda offers international business and nursing.
English Foundation courses are also advertised, including online preparation. These are preparatory courses, not bachelor’s qualifications.
Which Scholarship Matches Your Profile?
Have an 85% school graduation average? The 40% Talent Scholarship requires that average, a completed scholarship assignment, B2 English demonstrated through IELTS, TOEFL or SMK’s test, and an application-fee receipt.
Funding covers the first year only. You retain responsibility for 60% of applicable tuition and all living costs. Students may apply for other scholarships subsequently, but future funding is not guaranteed.
Have 80% and eligible Eastern Partnership citizenship? The 20% Eastern Partnership Scholarship accepts citizens of Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Ukraine and Moldova. Attach proof of application-fee payment. The published conditions supplied for this announcement do not specify its duration.
Have 80% and business ambitions? The 20% Business Management Scholarship supports specified programmes, including marketing, tourism, finance, international business, business creation, future business and AI, events and project management. Fee-payment evidence is required.
It covers one semester, with possible reapplication later. Meeting the threshold means you can be considered—not that an award is automatic.
How to Apply for Admissions at SMK on Scholarships: 5 Steps

Questions to Settle Before Saying Yes
No IELTS result? You still have other ways to meet SMK’s English requirement
An IELTS certificate is one route into SMK, but it is not your only option. The published IELTS threshold is 5.5. If you have already taken another test, your result may serve the same purpose: SMK lists minimums of 69 for TOEFL, 59 for PTE Academic and 110 for Duolingo.
Cambridge FCE and LanguageCert IESOL at B2 or above also appear among the accepted qualifications. Applicants without one of these certificates can take SMK’s internal English test, priced at €50. That provides an alternative assessment route—not an exemption from demonstrating English proficiency.
Can I combine scholarships?
You can request consideration for several, but the supplied conditions do not confirm that discounts can be added together.
Is accommodation included?
SMK’s guide lists Vilnius options ranging from €200 to €650 monthly at one property, including utilities, and shared accommodation elsewhere from €330 monthly. These examples help budgeting but do not guarantee Spring 2027 availability or prices.
Is the scholarship enough to study for free?
No. Even the largest SMK Lithuania scholarship award leaves 60% of first-year tuition payable, with rent, food, travel and insurance additional.
Which Deadline Applies to You?
The last date to apply for SMK Spring 2027 admission is 1 December 2026 for non-EU/EFTA applicants, or 10 January 2027 for the specified EU/free-movement category not requiring an entry visa. Scholarship applications close on 20 January 2027. That later deadline does not extend your admission window.
