Eligibility Criteria

  1. Nationality: Applicants must hold foreign citizenship and should not have previously studied in Taiwan as Overseas Chinese Students.
    • Dual nationality holders with ROC citizenship must meet specific MOE guidelines.
    • Stateless individuals are not eligible.
  2. Academic Qualifications:
    • High school graduates or equivalent are eligible.
    • Applicants with prior studies in Taiwan exceeding one year (excluding MOE-approved institutions) are not eligible.
    • Transcripts and diplomas must be certified and translated into English or Chinese if issued in another language.

Application Submission Requirements

Applicants must submit:

  • A recent passport-sized photo.
  • Passport or valid identification.
  • Certified high school diploma and transcripts.
  • Language proficiency test results (as per program language requirements).
  • Financial affidavit demonstrating at least USD 4,000 in available funds.

Programs and Duration

NTUST offers a range of programs, primarily taught in Chinese, except for the International Technology Advanced Program, delivered in English. Undergraduate programs typically last 4–6 years.

Admission Process and Deadlines

  • Application Period: January 1, 2025, to March 7, 2025 (12:00 noon).
  • Application Fee: USD 30 per department.
  • Results Notification: Admission results will be available online, and letters of admission will be sent via email.
  • Online Enrollment Confirmation: May 28, 2025, to June 5, 2025 (12:00 noon). A financial statement must be submitted during this period.
  • Health Check Report Submission: August 20, 2025.
  • Registration: Early September 2025.
