PhD Studentships 2025 at Queen Mary University of London
Queen Mary University of London is inviting applications for its prestigious PhD Research Studentships, offering an exceptional opportunity for academically gifted individuals to pursue cutting-edge research. These studentships are fully funded, covering tuition fees at the home rate and providing an annual stipend of £21,237 for up to three years. Applicants must hold at least an upper second-class honours degree or its international equivalent to qualify.
The studentships encompass a variety of research categories, making them accessible to a diverse array of academic interests. While the funding arrangement covers home-rated tuition fees, international applicants are advised to account for the difference between home and international tuition fees, which they will need to fund independently.
Two (2) notable funded projects are currently available:
- The first, under the School of Engineering and Materials Science (SEMS), focuses on “A measurement, modelling and mitigation study: reducing emissions from LNG carrier ships,” supervised by Dr. Paul Balcombe.
- The second project, supported by Queen Mary Research, centers on “Physics-based Multi-scale Modelling of Multi-Material Additive Manufacturing,” under the guidance of Dr. Chinnapat Panwisawas. Both positions have an application deadline of December 6, 2024.
Prospective candidates are encouraged to apply early to ensure their eligibility is confirmed and to enhance their chances of securing a place in these competitive programs. These studentships represent a significant opportunity to engage in impactful research while receiving substantial financial support.
