KU offers the Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship, a generous award of approximately $12,722 per year, specifically for eligible PTK members who are entering the university for the first time. This opportunity is available for the Spring 2025 semester only.
Scholarship Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for this Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) scholarship, you must meet the following conditions:
- College Credits: Have completed 24 transferable college credit hours, with the last 12 earned at a U.S. community college.
- GPA: Have a minimum GPA of 3.5.
- Degree Status: You must not have earned a bachelor’s degree prior to applying.
Application Method
To apply for the Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship, follow these key steps:
- Submit a Complete Admission Application by December 1, 2024, for Spring 2025 enrollment.
- Provide an official transcript by January 6, 2025.
- Ensure your PTK advisor submits a PTK Membership Verification Form by January 6, 2025.
Scholarship Renewal: Once you receive the scholarship, you can renew it for up to 3 years (six consecutive semesters) or until you earn your first bachelor’s degree, whichever comes first. To maintain your scholarship, you must:
