The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU) School of Professional Education and Executive Development (SPEED) is excited to announce the PolyU SPEED Belt and Road Scholarship for the academic year 2025/26. This initiative supports the Hong Kong SAR Government’s goal of enhancing Hong Kong’s reputation as a global education hub under the “Study in Hong Kong” brand.
Scholarship Objectives
- Support Outstanding Students: The scholarship aims to assist top-tier tertiary students from Belt and Road countries/regions in pursuing a two-year full-time undergraduate top-up degree (senior year admission) at PolyU SPEED, earning a degree from one of the world’s top 100 universities.
- Enhance Educational and Cultural Exchanges: By fostering academic and cultural interactions between Hong Kong and Belt and Road countries/regions, the program contributes to global educational cooperation.
Benefits of the Scholarship
- Full-Tuition Scholarship: Covers the entire tuition fee.
- Half-Tuition Scholarship: Reduces tuition costs by half.
The scholarship amount will be determined based on the academic merit of individual applicants.
Eligibility Criteria
- Students from Belt and Road countries/regions.
- Demonstrated outstanding academic and/or non-academic performance.
- Admission to a two (2)-year full-time undergraduate top-up degree program (senior year entry) at PolyU SPEED for the September 2025 intake.
Entrance Requirements
Applicants must possess:
- An Associate Degree, Higher Diploma, or an equivalent qualification.*

* An Associate Degree or Higher Diploma earned in Hong Kong is equivalent to the first two years of a four-year bachelor’s degree.
