UNICEF UN Partnerships Internship 2025 in New York or Remote

Interns will work directly under the Public Partnership Manager and support vital external relations and strategy-building activities impacting UNICEF’s operations across 190+ countries.


Internship Highlights

  • Location: New York HQ or Remote (Hybrid option available)

  • Duration: 6 months (Full-time, 40 hours/week)

Interns Responsibilities

  • Analyze UN Development System surveys and ECOSOC discussions
  • Draft strategic briefings and reports on UN reforms (e.g., UN80)
  • Follow and summarize Executive Board sessions
  • Support UNICEF’s multilateral engagement (CEB, UNSDG, HLCP, etc.)
  • Organize high-level partner consultations and interagency meetings
  • Maintain intranet knowledge pages and manage institutional memory
  • Draft social media content highlighting UNICEF’s UN work
  • Assist with preparation for principal meetings like the Joint Meeting of the Boards

Who Can Apply?

To be considered, you must:

  • Be a recent graduate or currently enrolled in a Master’s degree program in International Relations, Development, Social Sciences, or related fields
  • Have strong research, writing, and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) skills
  • Be fluent in English (knowledge of another UN language is a plus!)
  • Show passion for UNICEF’s core values: Care, Respect, Integrity, Trust, Accountability, Sustainability (CRITAS).
