University of Islam Sultan Agung Scholarships 2024 in Indonesia

The University of Islam Sultan Agung (UINSA) is excited to offer two types of scholarships for international students applying for the 2024 academic year: the Regular Scholarship and the Achievement Scholarship. Both scholarships aim to support talented students from around the globe in their educational journey at UINSA.

Scholarship Details

1. Regular Scholarship: This is a partial scholarship available to all international students who are accepted into UINSA’s undergraduate and postgraduate programs.

2. Achievement Scholarship: Designed for international students with notable academic or extracurricular achievements, such as national or international competition awards or significant accomplishments in Tahfidz Al-Quran.

Both scholarships offer the following benefits:

  • Free Registration Fee: Covers the initial registration costs.
  • Training on Indonesian Language Program (BIPA): Ensures students can comfortably integrate into the local community.
  • Student Accommodation: Includes one year of housing in the University Boarding, with Pesantren education available, extendable under certain conditions.
  • Culture Immersion Programs: Offers activities that introduce students to Indonesian traditions and cultural practices.
  • Enhancement Programs: Provides interdisciplinary training and certification.
  • Tuition Fee Subsidy: Considerably reduced tuition fees per semester—Rp400,000 ($25) for Bachelor programs, Rp1,500,000 ($93) for Master’s, and Rp3,000,000 ($185) for Doctorate programs.

Please note that expenses related to visa, stay permit, and airfare are not covered by the scholarships, although UINSA offers assistance in these areas.

Application Process

Step 1: Download and complete the application form from UINSA’s official website (https://uinsa.ac.id/international/admission).

Step 2: Submit the following documents along with your application:

  • Legalized copy of your last diploma
  • Copy of your Passport/ID card
  • Academic transcript
  • Curriculum vitae
  • Recommendation letter from an Embassy or Consulate
  • Motivation letter
  • TOEFL, IELTS, or TOAFL certificate (optional)
  • Recent formal photo (4 x 6 size)

Step 3: Await the distribution of inquiries to determine your eligibility for a Letter of Acceptance (LOA).

Step 4: Receive your Letter of Acceptance Notification via email from UINSA’s International Office.

Step 5: UINSA acts as your facilitator or sponsor during your study period in Indonesia.

Step 6: Apply for a study permit through the Indonesian Ministry of Religious Affairs.

Step 7: Receive assistance in obtaining a limited stay visa (VITAS) from the nearest Indonesian Embassy/Consulate. Please plan for this process to take approximately three to four months.
