Who Can Apply?

To be eligible, applicants must:

1. Apply for an eligible program: SUIPRES is open to those enrolling in a PhD or Professional Doctorate program at Swansea University.
2. Achieve academic excellence:
   • Hold or expect to achieve a 1st class or 2:1 UK undergraduate degree (or international equivalent).
   • Alternatively, hold a Distinction in a UK master’s degree (or international equivalent).
3. Be classified as an international student: Eligible applicants must pay the international tuition fee rate.
4. Meet additional requirements:
   • Current PhD/Professional Doctorate students, those applying for master’s-level courses, or candidates fully sponsored by a third party are not eligible.
   • Demonstrate excellence beyond academics, such as awards, teaching experience, or community outreach.

Scholarship Funding Details

• Covers the difference between international and home tuition fees.
• Reduces tuition costs to align with the UK fee rate for the entire duration of the program.
• Requires candidates to confirm financial capability to cover:
