For the 2026 session, the College is offering four main categories of scholarships:

  • Academic Scholarships – Awarded to students with outstanding academic potential, based on examination results and interviews. Candidates are expected to demonstrate passion for learning and active participation in college life.
  • Excellence Scholarships – Recognising excellence in academics, sport, music, dance, performing arts, or community service. Selection focuses on work ethic, achievement, and leadership.
  • Old Collegians’ Scholarship – Open to students entering Year 10 who are descendants of Old Collegians and members of the Old Collegians’ Association.
  • Personal Endeavour Scholarships – Available to students entering Years 4–6 who consistently show strong academic performance and leadership qualities.

In addition, endowed scholarships such as the David Freebairn Memorial Scholarship, Scotch College Foundation Scholarship, and Colin & Alexandra Hamilton Scholarship are also part of the school’s long-term vision, offering opportunities to students who may not otherwise have access to a Scotch education.

Eligibility and Selection Criteria

Scholarship applicants must show a strong commitment to the College’s values, including leadership, service, moral integrity, cultural awareness, and a global outlook. Successful candidates are expected to act as role models for their peers and uphold the high standards of the Scotch community.

Scholarships are available for various year levels from Year 4 through Year 11, depending on the scholarship type. Due to the high number of applications received annually, not all deserving candidates will secure a place.
