The Government of the Slovak Republic has officially opened the new Call for Applications for the National Scholarship Programme (NSP) for the summer semester of the 2026/2027 academic year. This prestigious programme provides international students, PhD researchers, university teachers, and artists an opportunity to pursue short-term study, research, teaching, or artistic stays at Slovak universities and research institutions.
About the Scholarship
Established in 2005 and funded by the Ministry of Education, Science, Research and Sport of the Slovak Republic, the National Scholarship Programme (NSP) aims to support academic and cultural mobility by covering living expenses during study or research stays in Slovakia. The programme welcomes applicants from all over the world and encourages cross-border collaboration and knowledge exchange.
Through the NSP, foreign students, PhD candidates, and academic professionals can conduct research, teach, or participate in artistic residencies while building strong connections with Slovak institutions. Additionally, students and PhD students are eligible to apply for travel allowances to assist with mobility costs.
