University of South Wales Scholarship Admissions Process for February 2027 Intake
Can international students still apply for a UK university scholarship for the next intake? At the University of South Wales (USW), the answer is yes for eligible January/February 2027 courses—but applicants should understand what the funding actually covers before treating it as a fully funded offer.
USW is accepting international applications for a selection of January/February 2027 courses and automatically considers eligible self-funded applicants for its scholarship support. The key advantage is simple: there is no separate scholarship form. The caution is equally important: these are tuition-fee reductions, not scholarships that pay living costs, visa expenses, or the full remaining course fee.
What Scholarship Can an International Student Receive?
USW’s standard International Office Scholarship is worth up to £1,500 for undergraduate students and up to £2,000 for postgraduate students. Applicants are assessed automatically when they submit their admission application.
Students from listed regions in Africa, Latin America, South Asia, South East Asia, Central Asia and Turkey, the Caribbean, Lebanon, Bahrain, Norway and Albania may instead qualify for the Chancellor’s International Development Scholarship worth £2,500. For example, USW’s current Pakistan guidance confirms a £2,500 annual scholarship for eligible self-funded undergraduate and postgraduate applicants starting in September 2026 or February 2027.
EU applicants have a separate scheme. Eligible EU students can receive a reduction that brings their payable tuition fee in line with the Home-student fee for the duration of their course.
Do You Need a Separate Scholarship Application?
No. Your admission application is the scholarship application. USW says eligible applicants are automatically considered, and the scholarship decision should appear in the offer letter. However, you must meet the deposit requirement and deadline stated in that offer to keep the award.
Government- or company-sponsored students, English-language students and placement-year students are excluded from these scholarships. The Chancellor’s award also excludes Higher National Diploma and Foundation Degree students.
How to Add £500 to Your Scholarship?
International applicants joining in January or February 2027 can receive an additional £500 if they become “CAS ready” by October 31, 2026. This means completing CAS Shield, submitting all relevant documents and ensuring that the required deposit has cleared. The enhancement does not apply to EU Scholarship holders and excludes courses including PhD, MPhil, MRes, DBA, ACCA and specified MBA Global routes.

The University of South Wales has not published one central final admissions deadline for all January/February 2027 international courses. Applicants should apply promptly because course availability can close before the intake begins. The confirmed deadline to become CAS ready for the additional £500 Early CAS Scholarship is October 31, 2026.
The university’s September 2027 course pages are also appearing online, but scholarship amounts and Early CAS dates for that intake should be treated as pending until USW publishes its 2027/28 funding terms.
