International undergraduate students looking for a funded research experience in South Korea now have a strong summer opportunity to aim for. The DGIST Scholarships 2026 Graduate School Research Internship invites high-performing undergraduate students worldwide to participate in a six-week interdisciplinary research program at Daegu Gyeongbuk Institute of Science and Technology (DGIST).
Set to open between February and March 2026, this internship allows students to gain hands-on research exposure, earn academic credit (where applicable), and experience Korean academic culture while working with graduate school laboratories. With financial support and structured research training, the DGIST summer internship is an excellent pathway for students planning future postgraduate studies or research careers in STEM and interdisciplinary fields.
The 2026 internship will run from June 29 to August 7, 2026, offering selected participants a research-focused summer experience alongside cultural immersion activities and industry exposure.
Package of DGIST Korean Scholarship
The DGIST undergraduate research internship combines financial support with academic and cultural opportunities for international participants.

Eligibility Criteria
Students must meet academic and enrollment requirements to be considered for the DGIST Undergraduate Research Internship.
- Open to international undergraduate students from recognized universities worldwide
- Applicants must be in 3rd or 4th year of undergraduate study (minimum four semesters completed)
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 75% or equivalent to 3.0/4.0 scale
- Must remain enrolled at home university for at least one semester after internship
- Strong English proficiency required (official test scores not mandatory)
- Recommendation letter required from academic advisor or faculty member
- All application documents must be submitted in English.
