What Is the ECU Travel Bursary?
The $2,000 ECU Travel Bursary is targeted at international students who:
- Originally planned to study in the U.S.
- Faced delays in their U.S. visa processing
- Are now enrolling full-time in a degree at ECU
This unique bursary underscores ECU’s commitment to global student mobility by offering displaced U.S.-bound students an alternative academic home in Australia.
Who Can Apply?
To be eligible, applicants must:
- Be an international student holding a valid Subclass 500 student visa
- Be commencing a full ECU degree (Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD) for the first time in Semester 2, 2025 or Semester 1, 2026
- Study on-campus at ECU Joondalup, Mount Lawley, or ECU City
- Provide proof of application or offer letter from a U.S. university
- Not receive any other government or industry-sponsored scholarship
- Remain enrolled in a full-time load (60 credit points) post-census date.
