  • Relocation Allowance: Up to $1,485 to assist with relocation costs and airfares for students moving to Adelaide from overseas, provided they can produce receipts.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the AGRTPS, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Citizenship: Must be a citizen of any country except New Zealand and not hold Australian citizenship, permanent resident status, or New Zealand citizenship.
  • First-time Research Degree: Intend to commence full-time study for a higher degree by research in Australia for the first time in the year of the award.
  • Research Concentration Area: Enrol in an area of research concentration where Flinders University has a particular strength.
  • Entry Requirements: Satisfy all entry requirements for a higher degree by research, including English proficiency requirements.

Application Process

Applying for the AGRTPS involves several steps:

  • Research Supervisor: Secure an informal agreement with a Flinders University academic staff member to supervise your research. Include email evidence of this agreement in your application.
  • Publications: Submit up to five publications with completed coversheets. Publications should be in English and not older than five years.
  • Academic Transcripts: Provide certified copies of all university-level academic transcripts, translated into English.
  • Research Proposal: Include a 500-word research proposal outlining your research question, hypothesis, and methodology.
  • Academic Referees: Obtain two academic referee reports. Forward the referee forms to your chosen referees, who should return them by the application closing date.
  • Curriculum Vitae: Submit an updated CV detailing your research experience and a list of publications.
