GKS-U South Korean Scholarship Winners Announced January 11, 2025

The National Institute for International Education (NIIED) has officially announced the final list of successful candidates for the 2025 Global Korea Scholarship for Undergraduate Degrees (GKS-U). The results mark the culmination of a highly competitive selection process under the Government Invited Foreign Undergraduate Program, which aims to promote educational and cultural exchange between South Korea and the global community.

Aspiring scholars can access the final list of successful applicants through the attached document titled “2025 GKS-U Final Round Successful Candidates.”

Next Steps for Selected Scholars

For those whose names appear on the final list:

  • Read the attached “Important Notice for 2025 GKS-U Scholars” document. This guide contains crucial instructions for preparing your journey to South Korea, including visa processing, travel arrangements, and pre-arrival requirements.
  • Familiarize yourself with your CS Number (GKS Scholar Number), which will now serve as your primary identifier in all communications with NIIED and your designated university. Note that this differs from your initial Candidate Number used during the selection process.
