Applicant Categories and Scholarship Duration:

  • Undergraduate Students: 4 years of major studies + 1 optional year of Chinese language studies. Total scholarship duration: 4-5 years.
  • Master’s Candidates: 3 years of major studies + 1 optional year of Chinese language studies. Total scholarship duration: 3-4 years.
  • PhD Candidates: 4 years of major studies + 1 optional year of Chinese language studies. Total scholarship duration: 4-5 years.

Application Deadline: All applications must be submitted by 7th June 2024.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Citizenship in an ASEAN country.
  • Good health.
  • Respect for China’s laws and policies.
  • Strong academic performance without concurrent scholarships from the Chinese government.

Admission and Enrollment: Guangxi University reviews applications, with final approval by the Guangxi Department of Education. Admission documents are dispatched between late July and early August.

Required Application Materials

  • Signed application form.
  • Notarized highest diploma certificate.
  • Study or research plan in Chinese or English (minimum of 200 words).
  • Two recommendation letters (for Master’s candidates), preferably from professors or associate professors.
  • Photocopy of the Foreigner Physical Examination Form, available for download at Guangxi University’s website. This form is required for study periods over six months and must be completed in English, covering all listed medical examination items.
  • HSK Certification (optional).
  • Passport copies (optional).
