HessenFonds Scholarship 2025 in Germany for Scholars
The HessenFonds, a scholarship program managed by the Hessian Ministry of Science, Research, and the Arts, is accepting applications for its 2025 funding period. This program offers financial support for highly qualified refugee students, doctoral candidates, and researchers at Hessian state universities, helping them continue their studies or academic careers in Germany.
The HessenFonds, implemented by the World University Service (WUS), aims to provide educational and career stability, primarily for those in the early stages of their academic journey.
Scholarship Funding Package
The HessenFonds offers monthly financial support:
- Students: €300 per month
- Doctoral Candidates: €1,200 per month
- Researchers: €2,300 per month
Eligibility Requirements
The HessenFonds is available to:
- Students: Must be enrolled at a Hessian state university and demonstrate outstanding academic achievements.
- Doctoral Candidates: Must have a confirmed doctoral acceptance and supervision agreement from a Hessian state university, as well as proven excellence in academic performance.
- Researchers: Must have a research or teaching position offer and a supervision commitment from a Hessian state university, with a record of high achievement in teaching or research.
To qualify, applicants must:
- Hold asylum seeker or recognized refugee status.
- Have resided in Germany for no longer than five years from the asylum application, with potential extensions (up to seven years) for those raising children in recent years.
Application Process and Deadline
