Application Deadline Extended!

Hurry, the application deadline for Hong Kong Polytechnic University International Research Summer School (IRSS) is now extended to 23 February 2024 at noon! Make sure to complete your application by this date to secure your spot.

Who Can Apply?

The IRSS welcomes:

  • Penultimate or final year undergraduate students from any discipline.
  • Students currently enrolled in a master’s degree programme. All applicants must commit to attending all sessions in person at the PolyU campus.

How to Apply?

Step 1: Fill out the online application form available at the official PolyU link by the deadline. Upon submission, you’ll receive an email with links for the application fee payment and for uploading supporting documents.

Step 2: Pay the application fee online to receive an official receipt via email.

Step 3: Upload your supporting documents in English, combined into one single PDF file under 10 MB, within two days after submitting the application form. This includes academic transcripts, degree certificates, a CV highlighting your academic and research achievements, an application letter, English language test scores (if available), certificates of achievements, a colored passport-size photo, and the official receipt of your application fee payment.

After Admission: Preparing for Your Study Visa

Step 1: Prepare necessary documents including the application for entry for study in Hong Kong (Form ID 995A), a passport-size photo, passport data page, and financial proof of your ability to cover living expenses. If the financial proof is not in your name, a declaration from your sponsor is needed.

Step 2: After your documents are checked and approved by the Graduate School, courier the original signed Form ID 995A and supporting documents to PolyU.

Step 3: The study visa process takes at least 10 weeks. Once approved, you’ll receive your e-visa via email.
