The IsDB Scholarship Program for 2024-2025 will soon be open for applications for international students. But most of the students will not have the required documents ready at the time of application submission and this is why i wrote this article for all international students to get their documents ready in time to apply for the scholarships offered by IsDB for admissions in the 2024-2025 batch. Who Sponsors IsDB Scholarship 2024?

The Islamic Development Bank, based in Saudi Arabia, has been working hard since 1983 to share knowledge and promote innovation in countries that are not members of the bank. Through the IsDB Scholarship Program, they want to welcome and support bright students, no matter where they come from or their gender.

Who Can Apply for IsDB Scholarships?

IsDB Scholarships are open to students from all around the world, including those from IsDB member countries and the global Muslim community (List of countries available at end of this article). These scholarships cover different academic levels, from undergraduate to postdoctoral research, and they all have one goal: to help talented students and give them the skills to make the world a better place. These programs also focus on “Sustainability Science” to support important global goals.

List of IsDB Scholarships 2024-2025 Batch

Following 4 fully-funded IsDB Scholarships will be offered to international students in 2024-2025:

1# IsDB Scholarship Programme for Muslim Communities in Non-Member Countries (SPMC):

The SPMC was launched in 1983 to address the educational needs of Muslim communities in non-member countries. It provides opportunities for financially needy young Muslim students to pursue undergraduate or first-degree studies and become professionals dedicated to developing their communities.

Benefits: The program covers tuition fees, monthly stipends, books/clothing allowance, medical treatment, and return economy class tickets.

Concept: The SPMC is a human development program, offering an interest-free loan to students and a grant to their communities. Students repay the loan after graduation, and the repaid funds are reinvested to provide more scholarships.

Fields of Study: The program focuses on fields like medicine, engineering, agriculture, dentistry, pharmacy, and more.

Place of Study: Scholarships are for recognized government universities in the students’ countries or, if necessary, in IsDB member countries.

2# Merit Scholarship Programme for High Technology (MSP) for IsDB Member Countries:

MSP aims to develop technically qualified human resources in IsDB member countries by providing scholarships for advanced studies in applied science and technology.

Benefits: The scholarship covers tuition fees, monthly stipends, medical insurance, thesis/scientific papers preparation, conference allowance, return air tickets, and installation allowance.

Concept: It enhances the scientific, technological, and research potential of scholars, with an expectation that they will return to their countries to apply their knowledge for development.

Fields of Study: The program covers various high-tech fields and areas crucial for development, such as laser and fiber optics, renewable energy, medicine, agriculture, and more.

Institutions of Study: Scholars can study at universities ranked in the top 1000 in the Times Higher Education Supplement or institutions in member countries with cooperation agreements.

3# Master of Science Scholarship Programme (M.Sc.) for IsDB Least Developed Member Countries:

The M.Sc. program assists IsDB Least Developed Member Countries (LDMCs) in developing human resources in science and technology.

Benefits: The scholarship includes tuition fees, monthly stipends, medical treatment, thesis preparation allowance, return air tickets, and installation allowance.

Fields of Study: Students may pursue M.Sc. studies in science, engineering, technology, or medicine/medical sciences.

Institutions of Study: Scholars must secure admission at top-ranked universities or institutions in IsDB member countries or those with cooperation agreements.

4# IsDB-ISFD Scholarship Programme for IsDB Least Developed Member Countries (LDMCs):

Launched in 2019, this program provides educational opportunities for academically successful but financially impoverished young men and women from LDMCs to pursue bachelor’s degrees or technical diplomas.

Benefits: The program includes tuition fees, monthly stipends, books/clothing allowance, medical treatment, return economy class tickets, and installation allowance

Fields of Study: For bachelor’s degrees, it focuses on fields like medicine, engineering, agriculture, dentistry, computer science, and more. Technical diploma courses cover a wide range of fields.

Application Process for IsDB Scholarship 2024-2025 Batch

To apply for the IsDB Scholarship, please follow these steps:

Step 1 Admission: First, secure admission to your desired college or university.

Step 2 Application Form: Fill out the IsDB scholarship application form.

Step 3 Registration: After registration, you will receive an email with your username and password, granting you access to your account.

Step 4: IsDB Scholarship Application Documents: Prepare the following set of documents for the relevant IsDB scholarship type you wish to apply in the next session.

Step 5: Sign Surety Bond

As part of the application process, students must sign a Surety Bond, commit to their studies, return to their home countries upon completion, and serve their communities and countries.

Step 6: Submission of Application

Finally, submit your IsDB scholarship 2025 application.

Great news! You don’t have to pay any money when you apply for IsDB scholarships. You just need to have scanned copies of your documents ready and submit them on the IsDB scholarship portal. They will review your application for free.

Last Date to Submit IsDB scholarship Application

The deadline to submit your application for the Islamic Development Bank scholarships will be April 30, 2024.
