Italy MAECI Scholarship 2025 for Global Master in Performing Arts Management
Foreign students with a passion for the performing arts and cultural management now have an exciting opportunity to study in Italy through the MAECI Scholarship, offered in partnership with POLIMI Graduate School of Management and the Piccolo Teatro di Milano.
This prestigious scholarship supports students enrolling in the Global Master in Performing Arts Management (MPAM) — a 20-month program combining intensive academic learning with practical experience at world-renowned cultural institutions.
About the Program
The MPAM trains professionals to work in all key areas of the performing arts sector, including superintendence, artistic direction, production management, fundraising, marketing, and communications. The program features:
- Classroom learning from October 2025 to September 2026.
- Internships at leading institutions such as Teatro alla Scala.
- Field projects in Berlin, New York, and Delft, in collaboration with top European and American universities.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must be 35 years old or younger and fall into one of these categories:
- Holders of a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) aiming for a career in the performing arts or cultural sector.
- Candidates with formal training in music, art, or dance seeking managerial and organizational expertise.
- Non-degree holders with 3–5 years of professional experience in any field who want a career change (knowledge of the nonprofit sector is an advantage).
MAECI Scholarship Package
The Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MAECI) offers up to 7 scholarships for international students already enrolled in the MPAM. Each scholarship is valued at €6,000 (€1,000/month from January to June 2026).

- Attach a PDF SOP statement in English (max. 350 words) explaining why you chose to study in Italy and attend the Master at Accademia Teatro alla Scala.
Selected candidates will be informed via email before the program begins in early November 2025.
Application Deadlines
he application deadline for the Global Master in Performing Arts Management (MPAM) program is 17 September 2025 for non-EU citizens and 1 October 2025 for EU citizens. The deadline to apply for the MAECI Scholarship is also 1 October 2025.
