About Kenn Borek Air

Founded in 1970 with a single Twin Otter aircraft, Kenn Borek Air has grown into a global aviation leader operating 34 aircraft across all seven continents. The company is internationally recognized for its courageous rescue missions, particularly in the Antarctic. In recognition of its dedication to the aviation industry, Kenn Borek Air offers two (02) scholarships worth $5,000 each—one for a future pilot and another for a student enrolled in an aircraft maintenance training program.

  • Scholarship Amount: $5,000 each
  • Purpose: To support Western and Northern Canadian students in their aviation education

Eligibility Criteria

To be considered for the Kenn Borek Air Scholarship 2025, applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements:

1# Residency Requirement: Applicants must reside in Western or Northern Canada, specifically in Yukon, Northwest Territories, Nunavut, British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, or Manitoba.

    • Proof of residency (e.g., health care card, driver’s license) is required.

2# Age Requirement: Must be between 18 and 30 years old.

3# Educational Requirement: Must be enrolled in a pilot or aircraft maintenance training program at a recognized post-secondary institution. And a proof of acceptance into an aviation program is required.

4# Academic Performance: Must have a reasonable academic achievement in their aviation program. And submission of academic transcripts is required.

5# Letters of Recommendation: Two reference letters from employers, instructors, or other relevant individuals must be submitted.

6# Statement of Interest: A personal composition outlining the applicant’s background, motivation for choosing aviation, community involvement, long-term career goals, and reasons for being the ideal scholarship recipient.
