Sabanci University is pleased to announce several open positions for motivated and dedicated researchers, including Master’s, PhD, and Postdoctoral fellows. These scholarship positions provide unique opportunities to work on cutting-edge projects within collaborative and innovative research environments.
Open MSc and PhD Positions
We are currently seeking one Master’s student and four PhD candidates to join our dynamic research teams on the following projects:
- PhD Positions (2 openings): Candidates will contribute to the ERC-Starting Project “META-Brain,” which aims to decipher lung cancer metastasis to the brain and develop new therapeutic strategies using a human metastatic cascade platform. This project offers a groundbreaking opportunity to explore and address critical questions in cancer biology and therapeutic development.
- PhD Positions (2 openings): These roles are part of the TUBITAK-1004 Project focused on “Developing 3D Bioprinting methods and creating a human brain model.” The project aims to advance 3D bioprinting technology to construct detailed and functional human brain models, enhancing our understanding of brain physiology and disease mechanisms.
- MSc Position (1 opening): The selected candidate will work on the TUBITAK-1001 Project “Selection of peptide sequences that can cross the blood-brain barrier.” This project involves using advanced 3D in vitro organ chip models and integrating them with nano-carrier systems, aiming to improve drug delivery across the blood-brain barrier.
Collaborators for these projects include esteemed faculty such as Bahattin Koc and Sibel Cetinel from Sabanci University.

Open Postdoc Positions
We are also excited to offer two postdoctoral positions:
- Postdoctoral Researcher for the META-Brain Project: The selected candidate will establish a human-based in vitro platform to study the metastasis process of cancer from the lungs to the brain. This role requires a PhD in a relevant field, such as bioengineering or molecular biology, with strong expertise in stem cell biology and cancer research.
- Postdoctoral Researcher for the 3D Bioprinting Project: This position focuses on developing 3D bioprinting methods to create accurate human brain models. The ideal candidate will have a PhD in a relevant field with experience in stem cell technology, neurobiology, and 3D bioprinting.

Internship Opportunities
