The Radboud Scholarship is a partial scholarship that offers significant financial assistance. Here’s what it covers:
- Reduced Tuition Fees: Recipients of the scholarship will pay only €2,530 in tuition fees instead of the standard fee of €17,000.
- Visa and Permit Costs: The scholarship covers the costs for obtaining a visa, residence permit, and liability insurance.
- Health Insurance: Scholarship holders also receive health insurance coverage through Aon Student Insurance.
Note: The scholarship does not cover living expenses in the Netherlands, so students will need to budget for accommodation, food, and other personal expenses.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the Radboud Scholarship Programme, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Hold a non-EU/non-EEA passport.
- Have (or will obtain) a Bachelor’s degree from a country outside the Netherlands.
- Meet the English language proficiency requirements for the chosen Master’s program.
- Be fully admitted to an English-taught Master’s programme at Radboud University starting September 2025.
- Be able to comply with the visa requirements for the Netherlands.
- Must enroll as a full-time student at Radboud University for the academic year 2025/2026.
It’s important to note that Erasmus Mundus and joint-degree Master’s programmes are not eligible for this scholarship.
Application Process
Applications for the Radboud Scholarship can be submitted via the OSIRIS Application system (https://www.ru.nl/en/education/application-and-admission/application-procedure-masters), along with your Master’s programme application. To apply, make sure to:
- Indicate your interest in the scholarship when applying for your Master’s programme.
- Upload two reference letters and a curriculum vitae (CV). If you’ve already uploaded these for your Master’s application, you can reuse the same documents.

Once your application is complete, it will be reviewed in two separate processes: admission to the Master’s programme and the Radboud Scholarship selection. Admission to the programme does not guarantee selection for the scholarship.
