What Is the Radley Innovation Scholarship All About?
The Innovation Scholarship was launched to support the surge in student interest in robotics, electronics, computer science, and interdisciplinary design. It’s more than an academic award—it’s a celebration of practical creativity and real-world application.
Candidates will be selected not just for academic potential, but for their drive to innovate, their ability to collaborate, and their willingness to push boundaries in design and tech. If you’ve ever created something to solve a problem—whether a coded app, a smart garden watering system, or a robot that helps with daily chores—this is the platform for you.
What Makes You a Strong Candidate?
Radley College is looking for students who are:
- Self-driven and imaginative in their projects
- Proficient with design thinking and/or coding
- Able to clearly document their thought process and technical execution
- Strong communicators and collaborators
- Ready to explain what part of their project was supported by adults (if any)
Portfolio Guidelines (Submit by 3 November 2025)
Your portfolio is your ticket to being shortlisted for the scholarship. Here’s what you must do:
- Submit 1 or 2 key personal projects that showcase your innovation
- Projects can be digital, physical, or a hybrid
- Projects must be student-led and show creative problem-solving
- No kit builds – originality is the key
- If based on a class project, it should show clear personal expansion beyond class.
Portfolio Format:
- Must be a PDF (converted from PowerPoint or Google Slides)
- Max length: 10 pages (unless adding additional code documentation)
- Include screenshots, comments, and source code for digital projects
