The Rotary Peace Fellowship offers fully funded master’s degrees and professional development certificates in peace and development studies, available at prestigious partner institutes including the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Duke University, University of Bradford, and others. These fellowships cover all academic and living expenses, aiming to empower dedicated leaders to become effective catalysts for peace. Applications for the 2025-26 fellowship are open until May 15, 2024.

About Rotary Peace Fellowship and Foundation

Since its inception in 2002, the Rotary Peace Centers have been at the forefront of peace and development education, equipping over 1,700 fellows from more than 140 countries with the skills needed to be effective catalysts for peace. These alumni have gone on to lead impactful careers in governments, NGOs, academia, peacekeeping, law enforcement, and international organizations such as the United Nations and the World Bank.

Fully Funded Fellowships for Future Leaders

The Rotary Peace Fellowship is tailored for individuals who are not only leaders in their respective fields but also committed to community and international service and the pursuit of peace. Annually, up to 50 master’s degree fellowships and 80 certificate studies fellowships are awarded, covering tuition, fees, room and board, round-trip transportation, and all internship and field-study expenses.

Choose Your Path

The Rotary Peace fellowship offers two distinct paths:

  • Master’s Degree Programs: This path involves 15 to 24 months of academic study, focusing on peace and development issues, coupled with a two- to three-month field study designed by the participants themselves.
  • Professional Development Certificate Program: Intended for working professionals, this one-year blended learning program offers practical skills to promote peace within communities and regions, culminating in a post-graduate diploma.

 

Eligibility Criteria and How to Apply

Eligibility criteria include English language proficiency, a proven record of community service, high academic scores, at least three years of work experience (five years for the certificate program), leadership potential, and a bachelor’s degree. You can stand eligible if you fulfil all these following eligibility terms for Rotary peace fellowship 2025-2026 batch if you be:

  • Proficient in English
  • Bachelor’s degree required for the Master’s program; minimum five years of relevant full-time experience for the certificate program
  • Strong commitment to cross-cultural understanding and peace
  • Demonstrated leadership potential
  • Ability to align personal peace promotion plan with Rotary’s mission
  • Meet the specific requirements of the chosen university program
  • For Master’s: Minimum three years of relevant experience post-recent degree
  • For Certificate: Experience in peacebuilding or development fields
  • Not currently enrolled in undergraduate or graduate programs
  • At least a three-year gap between the most recent academic degree and the fellowship start date
  • Encourages applications from individuals with disabilities and diverse backgrounds
