In a significant stride toward becoming a global nexus of learning, the Xi’an Municipal Government introduces the Belt and Road Scholarship 2024 for International Students. This prestigious scholarship aims to attract brilliant minds from Belt and Road countries, contributing to Xi’an’s vision of becoming an eminent “City of International Students” and bolstering its status as a national and international metropolis.
Scholarship Details
- Doctoral Programs: CNY 25,000 per person
- Master Programs: CNY 20,000 per person
- Bachelor Programs: CNY 15,000 per person
- Chinese Language Programs: CNY 1,000 per month (for no less than a 6-month study, up to 10 months)
Note: Scholarships are awarded for up to one year. Recipients must cover initial registration costs, which may be reimbursed upon scholarship approval.
Who Can Apply?
Applicants must hold a common passport from Belt and Road countries, possess a friendly disposition towards China, be in good health, and adhere to Chinese laws and university regulations. Age limits vary by program, ranging from under 30 for Bachelor’s to under 45 for Chinese Language Programs as of September 1, 2024. Importantly, applicants should not be recipients of any other scholarships.
Academic Programs
SNNU offers a wide range of Chinese-taught programs across various disciplines. For those preferring English, doctoral programs in Education, Chemistry, Computer Software and Technology, and Materials Science, as well as master’s programs in Chinese Philosophy, Historical and Cultural Heritage Protection and Engineering, and studies on the Sinicization of Marxism, are available.
Language Requirements
Applicants for Chinese-taught programs must meet specific HSK requirements, while those applying for English-taught programs need a valid IELTS or TOEFL certificate, unless English is their native language.
