Undergrad Preparatory Scholarship 2024 at Shandong University

The International Student Undergraduate Preparatory Program at Shandong University (SDU) offers a six-month to one-year training for high school graduates. It aims to prepare students for undergraduate studies at SDU by improving their Chinese language skills and providing basic subject knowledge.

Benefits

  • Language Proficiency: Enhance your Chinese language skills to pass the HSK 3 exam (270 points) after six months or the HSK 4 exam (210 points) after one year.
  • Academic Foundation: Gain a solid foundation in basic subjects like mathematics and chemistry, preparing you for undergraduate studies.
  • Comprehensive Courses: Includes intensive Chinese language courses, major preparation courses, professional Chinese language, and HSK skill training.

Who is it for?

  • Non-Chinese Citizens: Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens in good health, with no criminal record, and friendly towards China.
  • High School Graduates: Applicants must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Language Requirements: For the one-year program (starting September 2024), no prior Chinese language proficiency is needed. For the one-semester program (starting February 2025), an HSK 3 certificate with a score over 180 is required.

  • Chinese Government Scholarship: Available for outstanding students.
  • Shandong University Scholarship: Offered to top-performing international students.
  • International Chinese Language Teachers Scholarship: Available for those pursuing Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages.

  • One-Semester Program (Feb 2025 – July 2025): Apply from October 15, 2024, to December 31, 2024.
