ENSICAEN France Engineering Scholarship 2027 Open on Campus France Eiffel Funding
ENSICAEN is accepting France Excellence Eiffel applications for 2027, but the first step is an email—not a Campus France form. Want to study engineering in France? Start by identifying the right course, then build the case for why the school should nominate you. Here is how to move through that process.
01 Choose the course before chasing the scholarship
ENSICAEN lists three routes for Eiffel consideration:
| Route | What to clarify in your first email |
|---|---|
| Engineering diploma | Which specialty and entry year match your previous studies? |
| Master’s-level nuclear engineering | Is this course available for 2027? The linked course page currently returns an error. |
| Doctorate with an overseas partner, through joint supervision or cotutelle | What supervisor support and partnership documents are needed? |
Check your age before preparing the full file. National Eiffel guidance sets maximum ages of 29 for master’s and 35 for doctoral candidates. ENSICAEN instead states “29 or younger in 2026” without separating the levels. Ask the office to confirm the applicable rule, especially if you are a doctoral applicant aged 30–35.
For the national master’s award, applicants already studying in France are ineligible. Doctoral applicants studying in France can be eligible, although those studying abroad have priority. Meeting these rules establishes eligibility; it does not secure admission or funding.

02 What will Eiffel pay—and what should you check?
Eiffel provides a living allowance and eligible travel, health-cover and housing assistance; it does not directly pay training fees. Government-scholarship status can exempt recipients from registration fees for qualifying national degrees and engineering diplomas at eligible public institutions.
Before committing, ask for a written breakdown of remaining charges and the funded duration. Housing assistance should not be read as free accommodation. For a doctorate, also ask how any research period outside the Eiffel-funded months will be financed.

03 From your first email to ENSICAEN’s nomination
You apply to the school first; only a French higher-education institution can submit the national Eiffel nomination. Use this sequence:
- Email [email protected]. Read the Eiffel section on ENSICAEN’s official international page. Suggested subject: “Eiffel 2027 – [intended course] – [your name]”. State your nationality, age, current qualification and intended entry level; request the upload link.
- Upload the requested documents: identity card, recommendation letter, latest diploma, transcripts for 2025 and 2026, CV and motivation letter. If your academic calendar differs or your diploma is pending, ask what substitute evidence is accepted. Confirm translation and file-format requirements.
- Make the motivation letter specific. Explain which academic project or experience prepared you for the course, what you want to learn and how it supports your career. These are writing suggestions, not additional official document requirements.
- Attend the video motivation interview if shortlisted. Practice explaining your course choice with one concrete example from your studies or research.
- If approved, ENSICAEN submits your nomination. The official Campus France 2027 call confirms institutional submission. Ask ENSICAEN whether any separate admission formalities remain; nomination is not the final scholarship award.

04 Which deadline belongs to you?
The last date to apply for France Excellence Eiffel consideration through ENSICAEN is 20 November 2026. Email early enough to receive the upload link and complete your file. The national institutional submission deadline is 6 January 2027; it is not an extension for applicants.
ENSICAEN mentions results from March 2027, but Campus France’s current national calendar schedules announcements for the week of 12 April 2027. Use the national calendar for final award results. No separate course-admission deadline or ENSICAEN interview date is stated in this call.
