France EURECOM Scholarships 2027 Admissions Process for International Students

EURECOM admissions for September 2027 are open in France, with scholarship opportunities supporting eligible master’s and engineering students in computing and communications. If you are considering Data Science, Digital Security, Intelligent Communication Systems or Internet of Things, you can explore programmes alongside funding routes such as the EURECOM Excellence Scholarship, OAI 6G Scholarship and France Excellence Eiffel Scholarship.

Before you choose your programme, consider what you would need to make the offer affordable. EURECOM’s published tuition for a standard two-year MSc totals €9,000 for EU students and €18,000 for non-EU students, before accommodation and other living expenses. Would the scholarship you are targeting cover enough of that cost? The answer depends on the amount awarded, the expenses it supports and whether your chosen degree qualifies.

Your application timing can also determine which funding options remain available. If you want EURECOM to consider you for Eiffel, you must complete its first admission session and a separate scholarship pre-selection process. Waiting for a later admission round would leave that route unavailable, even though degree applications remain open. Other awards have different conditions, including restrictions tied to engineering entry or mobility after admission.

Start with three questions: does your academic background fit the programme, which scholarship can you pursue, and how much would you still need to finance? This guide helps you work through each decision, check your qualification and language evidence, and follow the admission and scholarship steps for September 2027 entry.

02 Can your degree and English score qualify?

For the regular master’s route, you generally need a relevant bachelor’s degree representing at least three years of higher education, plus the required language evidence. EURECOM lists computer science, computer engineering, IT, management information systems, applied mathematics and equivalent subjects. Engineering-degree entry has separate qualification requirements.

Coming from another discipline? Strong candidates may be considered if their university coursework covers the necessary foundations. Mathematics and programming matter; work experience or short courses generally cannot replace missing theoretical university studies. Selection considers academic results, programme relevance and the quality of your application; no universal numerical GPA cutoff is published on the checked eligibility page.

IELTS is one option, not the only option. Admission requires B2 English, with IELTS 5.5, PTE 59 and TOEFL iBT 72 on the old scale or 4 on the new scale among accepted scores. Evidence normally must be within two years of submission; listed Cambridge certificates have a lifetime-validity exception. Do not assume an English-medium degree automatically replaces a test: school attestations are specifically listed for partner exchange and dual-degree applicants.

No French proficiency is required for admission to the master’s programmes. However, the published graduation requirement for MSc students is A2 French. Second-year engineering entry and post-master’s entry require A1 French, so check your actual degree route.

For Eiffel’s master’s component, the 2027 age rule is a maximum of 29, expressed as birth after 31 March 1997. Foreign nationality is required; dual French nationality excludes an applicant. Ask EURECOM to assess your complete Eiffel eligibility, including your current study location, previous Eiffel applications and other scholarships.

03 Will a EURECOM Scholarship Cover your full Cost?

You need a written funding calculation before treating admission as affordable. EURECOM’s tuition page specifies €9,000 for EU students and €18,000 for non-EU students for the basic two-year MSc programme. These are programme totals, despite the page’s general annual-fee heading. For engineering entrants from 2027–2028, the listed annual fees are €4,450 for EU students and €6,000 for non-EU students.

Eiffel provides living support plus travel, insurance and housing-search services, but does not itself pay tuition. Fee exemptions depend on the programme and institution; obtain confirmation of your remaining EURECOM charges. Housing-search assistance also does not mean free accommodation.

Make your calculation practical: remaining tuition + rent + food + transport + arrival costs − confirmed support. Ask how any award is paid or credited, whether it can be combined with other support, and whether it affects the deposit. A pending scholarship request is not confirmed funding.

04 How do you apply without missing a separate step?

Submit a complete admission file first, and follow the separate funding instructions for your chosen award. Work through these stages in order:

  1. Select your degree and track. Create an account on the EURECOM admission portal, choose the targeted degree and enter your details.
  2. Upload the compulsory evidence. Prepare your CV, motivation letter, passport or national ID, transcripts, degree evidence, language proof and a recent photograph. You need three recommendation letters, dated within the past six months, on official letterhead, uploaded by you. Follow the language rules: documents are generally in English, with French accepted for specified academic records, language evidence and references.
  3. If your diploma is pending, document your expected graduation. EURECOM accepts an institution certificate stating the expected completion date at application stage. This does not remove the qualification requirement.
  4. Submit, rather than simply save. Click “Complete” when the file is ready. The admission office checks it and emails either acknowledgment or missing-document instructions; compulsory documents are needed before submission.
  5. Follow your scholarship route. Excellence and OAI use the admission portal. For Eiffel, complete first-session admission and request the separate guide from [email protected], using Last Name_EURECOM/Eiffel Application 2027 as the subject. Follow the official scholarship instructions; admission alone is insufficient.
  6. Resolve the offer and payment conditions. Pre-admitted candidates normally sign the conditional documents and pay a €1,000 tuition deposit before receiving final admission. If funding is undecided, ask admissions about the applicable deposit terms before paying. EURECOM allows a maximum of 45 days to accept a conditional offer and complete the required steps.
  7. Prepare your arrival after final admission. Follow the accommodation and registration instructions, and arrange the required student-visa procedure if applicable. Check your session on the official admission calendar.
