University of Corsica Eiffel Scholarship 2027 Pre-application Deadline 27 November 2026

Your next postgraduate move could take you to Corsica, France—with French government support behind it. The University of Corsica Pasquale Paoli’s Eiffel Scholarship 2027 call is open for international candidates pursuing eligible master’s, engineering and doctoral study.

The France Excellence Eiffel programme, developed by France’s Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs and managed by Campus France, helps French institutions recruit outstanding international students. Its scope stretches from ecological transition and digital sciences to law, economics and French civilisation. For you, that creates an opportunity to connect an academic ambition with advanced training and monthly financial support.

But how do you turn an interest in studying at Corsica into a scholarship application? And does a strong academic record let you apply directly? The crucial step is university nomination: Corsica’s International Relations Office, known as the SRI, coordinates your file with the relevant programme director before deciding which candidates to put forward.

Your first task is therefore to build a convincing case for a particular degree or research project. This guide explains the funding, personal eligibility and preparation that can help you approach that selection with purpose.

Your route to an Eiffel nomination at Corsica
Status: Open for the 2027 campaign.
Audience: Eligible non-French postgraduate candidates; age and study-location rules apply.
Selection route: University pre-selection followed by national scholarship assessment.
Timing: The university’s student deadline comes before the national submission deadline.
Official information checked: 16 October 2026; doctoral allowance discrepancy explained below.

01. Which study plans can Corsica support through Eiffel?

Eiffel supports eligible postgraduate study, rather than bachelor’s admissions or every course in the university catalogue. Corsica identifies seven eligible subject areas:

  • Biology and health.
  • Ecological transition.
  • Mathematics and digital sciences.
  • Engineering sciences.
  • History, French language and civilisation.
  • Law and political science.
  • Economics and management.

These are scholarship fields, not a promise that Corsica offers every specialisation within them. Choose an actual university programme or a viable doctoral project within the relevant field. My recommendation is to explain that match in concrete terms: identify what you want to learn or investigate and how it develops the work you have already done.

02. What does the Eiffel award contribute to your study budget?

Eiffel combines a monthly allowance with travel, insurance and accommodation-search support. The September 2026 regulations give a master’s allowance of €1,200 per month and a doctoral allowance of €2,000 per month. Campus France’s student overview instead lists €2,100 for doctoral scholars; budget using the regulations’ lower figure until the SRI clarifies the applicable award amount.

Funding duration depends on your entry point: up to 12 months for Master 2, 24 months for Master 1 and 36 months for engineering study. Doctoral awards may cover 12, 18 or 36 months; the longer route is reserved for qualifying first-year newcomers, while shorter mobility routes involve different doctoral arrangements.

Accommodation assistance does not mean free rent. Likewise, Eiffel does not pay training fees as a general benefit. French government scholarship holders can receive an exemption from registration charges for qualifying national diplomas and accredited engineering degrees at eligible public institutions. Separate course charges and personal living expenses still matter when assessing affordability.

03. Do your nationality, age and current studies qualify?

You must meet Eiffel’s personal eligibility rules as well as the academic requirements of your proposed degree. A strong transcript cannot override a nationality or age restriction.

  • Nationality: Applicants must be non-French nationals. Dual nationals holding French citizenship are ineligible.
  • Master’s age: Candidates must be born after 31 March 1997 for the 2027 campaign.
  • Doctoral age: Candidates must be born after 31 March 1991.
  • Current studies: Candidates already studying in France are ineligible for the master’s award. At doctoral level, applicants studying abroad receive priority.
  • Other French government funding: Candidates already receiving another French government scholarship at application are ineligible.
  • Nomination: An applicant presented by more than one French institution can be rejected; coordinate a single nomination route.

After these conditions, your academic evidence becomes central. Corsica requests a CV, motivation letter, study plan, transcripts and academic ranking. Use those Eiffel scholarship dossier documents together: your results establish preparation, while your study plan explains what you intend to do with it.

04. How to prepare your University of Corsica Eiffel application

Build your pre-application with Corsica’s SRI, which connects you with the relevant programme director. You do not submit an independent student application to Campus France.

  1. Identify your academic destination. Use the University of Corsica course catalogue to name the degree and pathway you want. Doctoral candidates should describe their research topic and intended supervision arrangement.
  2. Contact the SRI about Eiffel 2027. Email [email protected], naming your intended programme, current qualification, nationality and research interests where relevant. The official Corsica call establishes this university-led route.
  3. Prepare the evidence Corsica identifies. Assemble your CV, motivation letter, study plan, transcripts and ranking evidence. I would prioritise obtaining an official ranking statement early, because it gives selectors useful context for your grades. Add any further supporting documents requested by the SRI to your final dossier.
  4. Develop the academic case with the programme director. Explain the connection between your previous training, the proposed course or research, and your professional goal. Follow the SRI’s instructions for the complete pre-application and any separate admission requirements.
  5. Submit to the university for selection. Corsica plans to forward only three to five selected dossiers to Campus France. University support puts you into national consideration; it does not guarantee an Eiffel award.

The Campus France Eiffel overview explains the national programme. Keep your practical correspondence with Corsica’s SRI so that the academic and scholarship parts of your file move together.

05. Questions that can change your Corsica application plan

Can my home university submit my Eiffel application?

No. Corsica explicitly states that applications sent by foreign institutions or directly by students to Campus France are ineligible. Your home university can provide academic evidence, but Corsica must submit the nomination.

Is Corsica advertising a scholarship without IELTS?

No blanket IELTS waiver is announced in Corsica’s call. Language evidence depends on the proposed degree’s admission requirements; the Eiffel announcement itself is not proof that you qualify for an English or French language exemption.

Are Corsica’s three to five nominations guaranteed scholarship places?

No. That number describes the university’s planned shortlist for submission. Campus France announces the national selection results afterward, so a university nomination is an intermediate achievement.

06. When must your Corsica Eiffel 2027 dossier arrive?

The last date to apply for University of Corsica Pasquale Paoli’s Eiffel Scholarship 2027 pre-selection is 27 November 2026 at 5 p.m. The call opened on 2 October 2026. Treat the university’s closing time as local French time and submit ahead of it if applying from another timezone.

Corsica’s internal selection begins from 1 December 2026, followed by the institution’s submission deadline of 6 January 2027 to Campus France. National results are scheduled for the week of 12 April 2027. Your actionable deadline is November: January is reserved for the university to submit the candidates it has selected.
