Responsibilities

During your internship, you will be responsible for various accounting-related tasks, including:

General Responsibilities:

    • Responding to client and firm associate requests promptly and professionally.
    • Using data analysis skills to discover useful information and provide recommendations.
    • Identifying process improvement opportunities to enhance efficiency.

Tax-Specific Responsibilities:

    • Preparing individual, business, and fiduciary tax returns and projections.
    • Using current tax and accounting software applications.
    • Researching tax-related issues and financial reports.
    • Conducting limited tax return interviews as needed.

Audit-Specific Responsibilities:

    • Performing audit, review, and compliance testing procedures.
    • Communicating with engagement leaders regarding important matters.
    • Preparing financial statements, footnotes, and management reports.
    • Developing technical competency with GAAP.

Eligibility Requirements

To be considered for this internship, you should meet the following requirements:

  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting (completion of corporate or individual taxation class is required).
  • Demonstrating above-average competency in accounting with a minimum GPA of 3.2.
  • Working towards eligibility to sit for the CPA exam upon graduation (150 credits).
  • Preferred coursework in Data Analytics or Big Data.
  • Possessing strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to prioritize work, take initiative, and meet deadlines.
