Eligibility Criteria

To be considered for this prestigious scholarship, applicants must meet all of the following criteria:

  • Citizenship and Residency: Applicants must be citizens of one of the South Asian countries listed below** and must be residing in one of these countries at the time of application.
  • Application Process: Applications must be submitted through a Deakin authorised agent based in one of the eligible South Asian countries.
  • Academic Excellence:
    • 85% overall in Year 12 scores of CBSE / ICSE / State Board; OR
    • 10 overall in the General Certificate of Secondary Education (GCSE) / A Level; OR
    • 32 overall in the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP); OR
    • 80% overall in an undergraduate degree.

Applicants must meet all conditions to be eligible, and the scholarship is conditional upon the acceptance of specific terms and conditions, which will be detailed in the acceptance form.

Application Process

To apply for the International Vice-Chancellor’s Scholarship, applicants are required to submit the following documents:

  • Personal Statement (300 words): This statement should reflect your personal views and include:
    • An outline of your motivation to study at Deakin University.
    • An overview of your extracurricular activities and any work experience (paid or voluntary).
    • Reasons why you would make an outstanding ambassador for Deakin University.
    • Any additional information that might support your application.
  • References: Two references who can comment on your community engagement and leadership capacity.
  • Academic Transcripts: A completed application to study at Deakin, including all academic transcripts.

Please note that applicants may also be required to attend an interview as part of the selection process.
