Emerging Global Leaders Scholarship 2025 at Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU)

The Emerging Global Leaders Scholarship (EGLS) is an exclusive opportunity offered by Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU) for the 2025/26 intake cohort. This scholarship targets local students with exceptional Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSE) results.

Recipients are admitted to PolyU’s 4-year Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) (Hons) Scheme in Global Business and Logistics, Aviation, Maritime, and Supply Chain Management (Programme Code: 44493; JUPAS Code: JS3070). The program is administered by the Department of Logistics and Maritime Studies (LMS).

Scholarship Value

The EGLS provides substantial benefits to a maximum of 25 recipients:

  1. Total Scholarship Amount: Up to HK$300,000 per recipient.
  2. Full Tuition Coverage: Complete tuition fee coverage for the undergraduate program, contingent on meeting scholarship renewal criteria.
  3. Overseas Development Support:
    • Full sponsorship for overseas development programs (subject to final approval by LMS).
    • Includes participation in initiatives like the Copenhagen Business School Dual Degree Programme, overseas exchange programs, and summer schools at leading global universities.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the Emerging Global Leaders Scholarship, applicants must:

  • Be current-year Secondary Six students sitting for the HKDSE.
  • Fulfill PolyU’s general entrance criteria for admission to LMS’s full-time BBA programs.
  • Achieve a minimum aggregate HKDSE score of 25* across the best 5 subjects.
  • Secure admission to JS3070 through JUPAS.

Application Process

Interested students should complete and submit the online application form (https://www.polyu.edu.hk/lms/experience-and-opportunities/scholarships-and-awards/scholarships/emerging-global-leaders-scholarship/) by 31 December 2024, at 23:59 Hong Kong Time. Shortlisted candidates may be invited for an interview. Successful applicants will receive conditional scholarship offers upon selection.
