ENSEGID Bordeaux FRANCE Engineering Scholarships 2027 With Stipend: Application Method
The France Excellence Eiffel Scholarship 2027–2028 call at Bordeaux INP is open, including ENSEGID’s engineering pathway in Environment, Georesources and Sustainable Development in France. Successful Master’s-level candidates will receive €1,200 per month alongside travel and health support.
What makes ENSEGID interesting is how much of its engineering education happens through applied work. Its three-year engineering cycle includes more than ten weeks of field schools, alongside projects connecting geology, water and ecology. If you want to move from studying environmental problems to investigating sites and designing practical responses, that teaching model gives your application a concrete purpose.
But does your qualification fit ENSEGID, and can Bordeaux INP support your Eiffel nomination? These are separate decisions. The current call accepts only the Master’s component, which includes recognised engineering diplomas; Bordeaux INP chooses which candidates reach national selection. This guide explains the academic fit, funding, documents and application sequence.
From ENSEGID Programme Fit to an Eiffel Nomination
01 Who Can Pursue ENSEGID’s Eiffel Route?
You need an ENSEGID-compatible qualification and the Eiffel eligibility profile. For foreign qualifications, ENSEGID requires three years of higher education for first-year engineering entry, or four for second-year entry, in a relevant scientific field. A three-year bachelor’s can therefore lead into a three-year engineering cycle rather than a conventional two-year MSc.
- Nationality and location: You must be a non-French national and not currently studying in France. French dual nationals are excluded.
- Age: You must have been born after 31 March 1997.
- Academic results: Bordeaux INP forwards only dossiers with an average of at least 15/20. Meeting this threshold does not guarantee nomination or funding.
- Previous applications: Previous Master’s-level Eiffel recipients and candidates whose Master’s-level Eiffel dossier was rejected in an earlier national selection are ineligible.
- Compatible study and funding: Apprenticeship and professionalisation contracts are excluded. Eiffel cannot be combined with another French government scholarship, Erasmus+ or AUF funding.
I would request your university’s grading-scale explanation and certified ranking early. A self-calculated “75% equivalent” does not establish how Bordeaux INP will assess your results.

02 What Does Eiffel Fund at ENSEGID?
Eiffel provides living support and mobility services, with separate registration-fee exemption rules. Alongside the monthly allowance, benefits include international and eligible domestic transport, health coverage, accommodation-search assistance and access to cultural activities at preferential rates. Accommodation assistance does not mean free rent.
Engineering funding can last up to 36 months, depending on the approved course and entry point, with continued support subject to academic progress. For standard master’s programmes, the limits are 24 months from M1 and 12 months from M2.
Eiffel does not pay tuition fees. However, French government scholarship holders preparing eligible national diplomas or accredited engineering diplomas at qualifying public institutions are exempt from registration fees. Build your budget around rent, deposits and any remaining programme charges after that exemption.

03 Which Documents Does Bordeaux INP Require?
Prepare the following seven categories, using one PDF per document. Bordeaux INP makes all applicable items compulsory, so a strong career plan cannot compensate for missing academic or language evidence.
| Document | What to prepare |
|---|---|
| Academic CV | French or English; maximum two pages, including academic achievements. |
| Excellence and ranking evidence | University-certified rank, distinctions, grades and degree details. |
| Professional project | Career plan in French or English; maximum two pages. |
| Transcripts | Records covering your last three years of higher education. |
| Latest diploma | Copy of your most recently obtained degree. |
| Valid identity document | Passport or identity card showing your name, birth date and document number. |
| French-language certificate | DELF, DALF or TCF evidence for non-native French speakers. |
Use our Eiffel application document checklist to organise preparation; Bordeaux INP’s requirements control this submission.
My recommendation is to build your career plan around one problem you want to address. For example, connect a genuine water-quality project to ENSEGID’s hydrogeology training and explain the work you intend to pursue afterwards.

04 How to Apply Through Bordeaux INP
Submit your Eiffel dossier to Bordeaux INP through its online form. The institution handles national nomination if it selects your application.
- Identify your ENSEGID study route. Read the current Bordeaux INP Eiffel call and establish your intended degree and entry year. Direct unresolved local eligibility questions to [email protected].
- Complete the scholarship application. Use the official Bordeaux INP MoveOn form and upload the required PDFs separately. The call does not state an Eiffel application fee.
- Submit a complete dossier before the local deadline. Keep a copy of your submission. Incomplete or late applications are rejected.
- Follow the preselection decision. If selected, Bordeaux INP submits your nomination to Campus France. Our Eiffel eligibility and nomination guide explains this national stage; nomination does not guarantee an award.
- Continue the degree-admission process. Follow the ENSEGID admission route applicable to your qualification and country, including Études en France where required. The scholarship request does not replace admission; read the official Campus France Eiffel guidance alongside your host’s instructions.

05 ENSEGID Eiffel Questions That Can Change Your Plans
The remaining distinctions concern language, the degree level and choices that could affect your nomination or funding.
Can I apply for a PhD through this Bordeaux INP call?
No: the live call expressly accepts only the Master’s component, despite broader Eiffel material mentioning doctorates. For a doctoral host, explore our French universities offering Eiffel consideration and follow that institution’s separate procedure.
Does an English CV or IELTS replace the French certificate?
No: permission to write your CV and career plan in English does not waive the French-certificate requirement. ENSEGID teaches in French; the call does not specify a minimum French test score, so obtain that local detail from the scholarship contact before submitting.
Can two French institutions nominate me for Eiffel?
No: multiple institutional nominations cause automatic disqualification. Bordeaux INP’s instructions also require a single institutional application, so choose your Eiffel host before filing competing scholarship dossiers.
Can I later choose ENSEGID’s work-study contract option?
Signing an apprenticeship or professionalisation contract stops Eiffel funding. That makes ENSEGID’s optional work-study route incompatible with continued Eiffel support; a curricular internship is a different arrangement.

06 ENSEGID–Bordeaux INP Eiffel Application Deadline
The last date to apply for the France Excellence Eiffel Scholarship 2027–2028 through Bordeaux INP, including ENSEGID, is 20 November 2026 at midnight, French time. The local call opened on 1 October 2026.
Bordeaux INP reviews applications from late November to early December 2026, with preselection notifications from mid-December 2026 to early January 2027. The institution then forwards selected dossiers; 6 January 2027 is the Campus France institutional deadline, not your student deadline. National results are expected in mid-April 2027.
Start by requesting certified ranking records, arranging your French-language evidence and drafting the two-page career plan. Aim to submit before the final evening so a missing file does not undo your preparation.
