Fully Funded PhDs at Université Paris-Saclay (UPSaclay) in 2025
If you’re a passionate future researcher ready to tackle some of the world’s most pressing issues, France’s Université Paris-Saclay is calling you to stand up for science! The university has officially opened its 2025 international call for PhD students under the “Stand up for Science UPSaclay” initiative — a prestigious program offering eight fully funded doctoral positions.
This opportunity is tailored for students with an American academic background (or equivalent), particularly those holding a degree equivalent to Bac+5 (Master’s level). Even students who have already started a PhD in the U.S. are encouraged to apply!

Application Timeline
The application process for the PhD call “Stand Up for Science UPSaclay 2025” is as follows:
Application Period: From July 1 to August 31, 2025, candidates must submit their applications via the ADUM platform, where they can select their preferred research subjects.
Selection & Auditions: In September 2025, shortlisted applicants will be interviewed by the relevant Doctoral Schools. Final decisions will be made by a selection commission organized by the Doctoral College.
Enrollment & Funding: Successful candidates will officially enroll and begin their fully funded PhD contracts starting January 2026.
