The Global Leadership Scholarship is designed to recognize academic brilliance and leadership potential among international students who aspire to make a meaningful impact in their fields. The scholarship provides a £10,000 tuition fee waiver, helping talented students ease their financial burden and focus on academic excellence.
This award is available for students enrolling in January 2026 in select disciplines, including:
- Aerospace Engineering & Management (MSc)
- Civil Engineering & Management (MSc)
- Educational Studies (MSc)
- Electronics & Electrical Engineering (MSc)
- Electronics & Electrical Engineering & Management (MSc)
- Mechanical Engineering & Management (MSc)
Eligibility Criteria
To qualify, applicants must:
- Demonstrate academic excellence, achieving results equivalent to a UK First-Class Honours degree.
- Hold an offer of admission for one of the eligible postgraduate taught programmes beginning in January 2026.
- Be classified as having International or EU fee status.
The University of Glasgow emphasizes supporting self-funded students. Therefore, scholarships and fee discounts cannot be combined with other institutional or external sponsorship awards — except for the Alumni Discount.

Interested applicants can apply through the official online scholarship portal by clicking the “Apply” button on the university’s website. Candidates are encouraged to submit their scholarship applications promptly after receiving their programme offer.
Successful candidates will be notified within six (06) weeks of receiving their offer letter. However, note that applications without a confirmed offer of study will not be considered.
