1# Manaaki New Zealand Government Scholarships:

The New Zealand Government Scholarship is a fully-funded program for eligible students from developing countries for undergraduate and postgraduate studies at one of the higher education institutions in New Zealand. It covers return airfares, insurance, living expenses, tuition and setup costs to provide financial relief in every possible way.

Notably, IELTS is not required for applicants from non-English speaking countries, but are requested to meet the language proficiency requirements of a chosen university. The scholarship encompasses Manaaki New Zealand Scholarships for full-time courses, Short-Term Scholarships for skill training, and English Training Scholarships for government officers. However, applications will open on February 1, 2024, and close on February 29, 2024. 

2# Tongarewa Scholarship:

To be eligible, students must plan to enroll in the Study Abroad and Exchange program for at least one trimester and have a GPA of 2.7 or above, with PTE, TOEFL, or IELTS scores as English language proficiency proof. The master research scholarship at University of Massey offers $15,000 for full-time students with a 120-credit thesis and $10,000 for those with a 90-credit thesis. The ASEAN High Achievers Scholarship by Auckland University is a merit-based award, providing up to $10,000 for tuition to new international students from ASEAN countries enrolling in undergraduate or Master’s degrees, or PGDip programs.

Eligibility criteria include; being a new student at the university, not having previously studied in New Zealand, and not enrolling in certain business master’s programs, along with English language test scores of MELAB, TOEFL iBT, ISE, CPE, PTE, EPUS, CAE, or ESOL.

8# Lincoln University IUGS Program:

The Lincoln University International Undergraduate Scholarship (IUGS) is designed to support academically talented international students enrolling in undergraduate programs at Lincoln University for the first time. Each scholarship worth NZ$3,000, will be provided to the selected recipients, considering their academic excellence.

However, eligibility criteria include; being a new international student at Lincoln University, meeting immigration and academic requirements, and fulfilling English language proficiency requirements via NZCEL, TOEFL IBT, CAE, IELTS, or PTE scores. After verifying the above-mentioned eligibility criteria, interested ones can apply for the IUGS program before June 29, 2024.

9# Beatrice Ratcliffe Scholarship in Music:

The Entry-Level Beatrice Ratcliffe Scholarship in Music at Auckland University, established through the Beatrice Ratcliffe Charitable Trust, supports incoming undergraduate students in the School of Music. Available for local and international students, this $5,000 scholarship is granted based on academic performance, music potential, and financial need.

Meanwhile, interested applicants intending to enroll in a Bachelor of Music or BMus conjoint degree must demonstrate English language proficiency through TOEFL iBT, CAE, CPE, PTE, MELAB, EPUS, ISE, or ESOL scores while applying for the scholarship. Applications for this annual Beatrice Ratcliffe scholarship will soon open and close on 10 October 2024. So, prepare your online applications in advance to apply within the due date.

10# CRV AmBreed Scholarship:

The CRV AmBreed Scholarship provides $3,000 for third-year Massey University students studying agriculture or animal science. It’s mainly for New Zealand citizens, but international students with a focus on these fields are also eligible. The CRV AmBreed scholarship includes a two-week visit to CRV’s headquarters in Holland, covering travel and accommodation.

Selection is based on academic achievements and interview performance. However, applicants not proficient in English can go for alternative language tests like TOEFL, PTE, NZCEL, or CERT, if IELTS scores are not available. The applications, however, are not open, but will shortly open from January 30 to April 27, 2024.
