The Slovak Government Scholarships are here to help international students like you pursue higher education in Slovakia. Managed by the Ministry of Education, these scholarships support students in Bachelor’s, Master’s, Ph.D. programs, and language preparation courses.

Benefits of Slovak Scholarships 2025 Batch

Slovakia government scholarships are offered for BS, MS and PhD programmes and therefore following are the details of benefits each of these programmes will receive:

For Bachelor and Master Students

  • Monthly Scholarship: 400 Euros
  • Start-Up Stipend: 100 Euros
  • Completion Stipend: 200 Euros
  • Monthly Public University Stipend: 80 Euros

For Ph.D. Students

  • Monthly Scholarship: 734 Euros
  • Start-Up Stipend: 100 Euros
  • Completion Stipend: 200 Euros
  • Monthly Public University Stipend: 240 Euros

For Language Preparation

  • Monthly Scholarship: 400 Euros
  • Start-Up Stipend: 100 Euros
  • Monthly Public University Stipend: 80 Euros

Additional Costs in Slovakia

  • Dissertation: 50 Euros
  • Dormitory Accommodation: 92-100 Euros/month
  • Meals: 330 Euros/month (11 Euros/day)
  • Entrance Interview: 20-80 Euros
  • Medical Examination: 140-169 Euros
  • Degree Work Completion: 33 Euros
  • Diploma Translation and Authentication: 33 Euros

Eligibility Criteria

To apply, you need to:

  • Be from a country eligible for Slovak development cooperation.
  • Meet academic requirements for your intended study level.
  • Have language proficiency in Slovak or English.
  • Pass a medical examination.

How to Apply?

You need to submit your application for Slovak Government Scholarship as per this notice (https://www.minedu.sk/scholarships-of-the-government-of-the-slovak-republic/) and have these following doucments ready:
