Getting Started: Contact a Faculty Member
Before diving into the application, you’ll need to get in touch with a faculty member related to your field of interest. A list of faculty members and a brief description of their research lines can be found on the USP website. This step is crucial as you’ll gain insight into research projects and funding opportunities directly from the experts.
How to Apply?
Applications are submitted through the FUVEST website, under the “Área do Candidato” section. You’ll be required to upload specific documents as outlined in the Official Notice on the site.
For International Applicants:
- If you don’t have a CPF number (a Brazilian tax identification number), reach out to FUVEST using the FALE CONOSCO link with CPF number 999.999.999-99 for guidance.
- Good news! International applicants do not have to pay the application fee. Simply email [email protected] after completing your application to request a fee waiver.
Required Documents
- Letter of Interest: You must obtain this from one of the program’s faculty members. Templates are available on the university’s website.
- Letter of Employment and Residency: This letter, which you will sign, verifies your employment status and residence. A template is provided online.
