University of Western States Scholarships 2025

The University of Western States (UWS) is thrilled to announce a range of scholarship opportunities for the upcoming Fall term. These scholarships are designed to support students in various programs, recognizing their academic merit, community involvement, and leadership in social justice. The scholarships are funded through generous donations and institutional funds, providing significant financial aid to deserving students.

UWS scholarships are awarded primarily based on the strength of the application, with possible consideration of academic merit and other qualifying factors. These scholarships are available to both U.S. citizens and international students, and all funds are applied directly to tuition. Scholarship applications will open on August 5, 2024, for the Fall term.

The Office of Financial Aid will notify recipients via email. Scholarships exceeding $1,000 will be disbursed evenly throughout the year unless specified otherwise, while awards less than $1,000 will be distributed in full during the term.

List of UWS Scholarship Opportunities 2025

The good news is that there are a total of 8 scholarship programs that will be available to students as listed below:

1# Community and Social Justice Leadership Scholarship

  • Award: $1,000 to two recipients
  • Eligibility: Enrollment in any program for Fall 2024, cumulative GPA of 2.5 or above
  • Essay Requirement: 350-500 words on demonstrated leadership in community engagement and social justice.

2# The Dr. Jan Neal Scholarship for Technology

  • Award: $500 to 20 recipients
  • Eligibility: Enrollment in the Doctor of Chiropractic program for Fall 2024, cumulative GPA of 2.5 or above
  • Essay Requirement: 350-500 words on the impact of the scholarship on educational experience.

3# The Dr. Richard Tilden Diversity in Healthcare Scholarship

  • Award: $1,000 to nine recipients
  • Eligibility: Commitment to expanding racial and ethnic diversity in the chiropractic profession, cumulative GPA of 2.5 or above, letter of reference
  • Essay Requirement: 350-500 words on serving diverse communities as a chiropractic physician.

4# The Dr. Steve Oliver Chiropractic Memorial Scholarship

  • Award: $5,000 to one recipient
  • Eligibility: Enrollment in the Chiropractic program for at least one year, cumulative GPA of 2.5 or above, letter of reference
  • Essay Requirement: 350-500 words on career goals and commitment to treating diverse communities.

5# Standard Process Scholarship

  • Award: $5,000 to two recipients
  • Eligibility: Enrollment in the Chiropractic program for at least one year, cumulative GPA of 2.5 or above, letter of reference
  • Essay Requirement: 350-500 words on the importance of nutrition in patient care.

6# Dr. Michael Horowitz & Dr. Jeannie Gutierrez Immigrant / First Generation Scholarship

  • Award: $5,000 to one recipient
  • Eligibility: Self-identify as first-generation or immigrant to the U.S., cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above
  • Essay Requirement: 350-500 words on academic goals and community service contributions.

7# Chiropractors’ Association of Saskatchewan Scholarship

  • Award: $1,000 to one recipient
  • Eligibility: Continuing student from Saskatchewan in Q5+ of the Chiropractic program, cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above
  • Essay Requirement: 350-500 words on the vision for chiropractic within Canada’s health system.

8# Chiro One Wellness Center Scholarship

  • Award: $1,000 to one recipient
  • Eligibility: Continuing student in Q8-Q10 of the Chiropractic program, cumulative GPA of 2.5 or above
  • Essay Requirement: 350-500 words on future impact in the chiropractic profession and current participation in activities or organizations.
